Ashely is the epitome of the “accidental entrepreneur” as she was a stay at home mom for 8 years while working part time in the restaurant industry. When here children were old enough she started using LinkedIn to search for jobs and began blogging about it, sharing her experiences. To her surprise, this led her to discover personal branding as well as growing her network on LinkedIn from 600 people to over 3000. She also became one of the top 1% viewed profiles on the platform.
By leveraging platforms such as Snapchat, she has been able to connect with a wide variety of people including the founder of Uber. She also was able to attract her first two clients via the platform as well.
A key to success in utilizing Snapchat for business is to focus on creating relationships, not the sale. She utilized the platform to share her journey, showcasing technology and providing value to the people that connected with her.
At her peak of using the platform, she would utilize the platform to add to her story 20+ times per day. When combined with responding to other people, this means over 200+ snaps each day.
