We live in a world full of maks. The only way to achieve a level of success in business and life is to speak your truth. This means being who you are at your core, and not someone else.
Success can and often is defined differently by the people you ask. For some it’s having a title, others it’s about amassing wealth, and so on. However, for many people, they end up wearing a mask in life because they are creating a level of success that’s not authentic to their true self.
Look at the world around you. How many people are in a profession that does not bring them joy? Who do you know that’s doing something only for the money, all while feeling empty on the inside? These situations result from individuals not speaking their truth, mainly out of fear.
It’s a fear of not being accepted for who they are and what they love to do. Look at how the world around us defines what success is, the big house, the fancy cars, the beautiful women, etc. If you’re unsure of this, simply turn on the tv. Look for anything that embodies success and you will see these symbols exhibited.
So what does speaking your truth have to do with any of it?
If you want to live a life of fulfillment you must look for what brings joy and happiness to your day. For some individuals, it might mean changing professions, for others it may mean moving from one part of the country to another. It will completely depend on your individual situation.
A simple way to know what brings you fulfillment is asking yourself a single question. “If you could do something you love every day that impacts the lives of others without worrying about money, what would it be?” This simple question will help you gain insight into what truly brings fulfillment into your life. When we remove money from the equation, we are forced to examine what completes us internally, not just fills the pocketbook.
When you speak your truth about what makes you happy in life, you will be surprised at how many people will resonate with your message and want to be part of it.
