Elizabeth Sunday is global explorer having lived in multiple countries and creating businesses to allow her to live a certain lifestyle in the land of her choosing. She is a meditation teacher, a travel planner, and courage facilitator helping individuals fearlessly follow their dreams in life.
Elizabeth’s journey into the world of entrepreneurism began after finishing her university studies with a volunteering trip to Kenya for a month. It was during this trip she discovered her passion for helping others. Shortly afterward, she began working in Kosovo after the war helping women with domestic violence.
In 2005, she returned to Italy taking a government job in a public school Needless to say it was a far cry from the adventures she had working abroad in different countries helping people from diverse background. This led her to take a year off to serve in a Catholic mission in Cambodia. Even though it was a challenging 6 months, she realized going back to her government job was not an option as she loved the freedom in her new life.
She dove head first into personal development to grow as a person in order to help more people accomplish their goals and live fearlessly. Soon afterward, she was invited to Oman to work as an Italian speaking tour guide. She did this while running her blog to make ends meet.
One of the questions she’s often asked about being a digital nomad is “How do you pay the bills”?
For her, it’s about establishing priorities, such as not going out every weekend, or eating out every day. When you look at your life you can figure out what do you really need to have to live a great life. But it’s often fear of letting go of things which holds people back in the security of jobs they do not like or enjoy.
One of the hardest things for her to leave at home was her collection of books, however, while in Asia she quickly discovered 2nd hand books which allowed her to indulge in her love of reading without breaking the bank.
The One Thing Elizabeth recommends people do is to follow their instinct as it will lead you down the right path. The times in life when we do not trust our instincts are usually when things do not go our way, so we must learn to trust ourselves more.
