Sara Oblak Speicher is a business coach who built her career based on the principles she learned after moving to the US to play division 1 basketball barely speaking any English. Today she helps her clients show up, stay focused, and create success in their lives.
Sara Speicher helps her clients through strategy. After losing her job the same week she found out she was pregnant in 2011 she started her first company. Her first company was in the Virtual Assistant industry. However, she quickly discovered she was not good at taking orders. Thusly, she built a team around her to support her in the business. When her 2nd child was born, she was able to give herself 3 months of paid leave.
Ultimately she revamped the business into the business consulting and strategy company it is today.
For Sara, the tipping point in her life was coming to the United States. Prior to coming here, she was quiet and shy which resulted in her being reserved in practice. Because of the encouragement she received from her fellow teammates and coaches, she learned how to be more vocal. This encouragement is present in everything she does.
When it comes to attracting clients, the most important thing is taking action. However, it is vital to stick with what you know, and not be a jack of all trades in business.
To grow your business no matter what level you are at, you must stop playing small and learn to play big!
When Sara made this decision in her business, she began leveraging Facebook & LinkedIn heavily. This is in addition to appearing on podcasts, and multiple summits.
Regardless of industry, a key factor in any business to create growth is making connections. However, focus on the quality of connections, as that will matter more than quantity.
The One Thing every person must do in business is make a decision. You must make a decision whether you are in or out. You have to make a decision to show up and do the work every day.
Always remember, if you fall down, brush it off and do it again!
