Samantha Riley is the author of the bestselling book The Heart of Entrepreneurship, the founder of the Accelerant Group and creator of The Brand Builder Formula™. With a business background of over 20 years, she now helps coaches & consultants position themselves for success.
Samantha’s journey into the world of business began at the age of 19 with a dance studio. Over time this led her to market online and ultimately helping entrepreneurs achieve success. Through her journey of entrepreneurship, she discovered that the education system while important was meant for one role, and that was to fill positions.
To expand one’s influence online, it all begins with knowing who you are marketing to. When you know who your ideal client is, your message is able to resonate with them, rather than being ignored by the general population.
When you understand who your ideal client is, not only will your message resonate with them, you will do it where they spend the most time. For example, JP Sears wanted to be a YouTube sensation with his message, however, when he began leveraging Facebook, his business took off.
One of the main components to expanding your influence on any platform is consistency. When you show up day after day and week after week, your audience will be there waiting for your content.
To get your message out into the world, you can leverage a wide variety of platforms and mediums. They include but are not limited to:
- Publishing a book
- Email Marketing
In regards to creating success, a challenge many entrepreneurs face is perfectionism. There is a tendency to make everything perfect before launching. While it is a noble effort, this can result in zero sales by producing products that are not in demand. The way around this is to market a product before its built. Once you have sold the product, then begin creating it. This will always ensure you create products that people are willing to buy. Always remember to build as you go instead of building before you go.
The One Thing Samantha recommends is to be clear on where you are heading and reverse engineer what needs to be done. The means to start with the end in mind. When you are able to work backward from your destination you can clearly outline the steps required to achieve your goal.
